Setting Goals as a Multidisciplinary in 2024 to Stay Ahead

Being a multidisciplinary person is like riding a rollercoaster fueled by creativity, motivation, output, and input. I am constantly balancing between working to the extreme and taking time off to pamper myself at home for days. However, if you are anything like me, you are also seeking balance and consistency, systems that work for this imbalance. Setting goals for the year is essential because every decision I make will align with them. In this post, I share where I am on my journey of self-improvement and work. I hope that it helps or relates to you!

Pivoting this site and YouTube

Reflecting on 2023, I decided to put myself out there and create a personal brand as well as further invest in my nails and sticker platforms. After analyzing what works with all of this, I’ve been able to make new goals for improvement. On this site, I would love to revamp with these categories of content:

  • Craft projects – I’m always working on something, and I would love to share if it helps
  • Fun photos – I need to capture more moments
  • New Purchases – Retail therapy worth sharing

Improving my work ethic

I have been contemplating whether I should adopt the soft living mentality or the hustle mentality. However, this year, I have decided to choose the latter and embrace the grind. I am determined to work hard and produce more. To achieve this, I need to maximize my time and focus on creating and finishing all my tasks. But, in doing so, I must also prioritize self-care, which will help me preserve and prepare myself. I have found some ways to maintain my well-being by following routines that are not too strenuous. Things like:

  • Working out, quick but effective 3x weekly & drinking water
  • Bonnets and flexi rods add longevity to hairstyles
  • Press on nails, for a quick mani, when I have to go out in public; as much as I type, low nails are preferred
  • Beauty Regimes intact: I’ve listed these in this post

Becoming a Master of Numbers

Actions based on numbers. This was a big one for me to realize, practice, and apply to my life in every way. As an artist, I’m improving at making decisions based on logistics instead of dreams and ideas. By becoming a master of numbers this year, I’m talking:

  • Time: planning, planning, planning and executing
  • Analytics: doing what’s best for my platforms
  • Money: budgeting because your finances easily determine your lifestyle

Maintenance and protection

I’ve found the phrase to describe what happens when much is given and much is required. Maintenance and protection are vital for this year if I want or have anything of value. Wanting better includes doing what it takes to keep it. That includes mental, physical, emotional, and materialistic aspirations.

Becoming more social

I need (close) friends! I can talk/relate to anyone and I have many associates. However, I’m still in need of a tribe; my girls. I hope to have a genuine friend group where energy and support can be reciprocated and our best lives are lived. I have hope this year, I’m open and I’ll be out and about. Including:

  • Going to events like paint and sips, live music, etc.
  • Meetups
  • Going to new places like bars and classes

That’s about it. At the end of the year I’d be able to reflect and measure myself against these goals that I’ve set. Self-development never stops and I love the woman I am today as well as who I am becoming for 2024. Overall, I hope this post was relatable to you in some way. Find your better self this year and embody that.

Until Next Time,
Tamara
